Please fill out form completely for each child you are enrolling.  

11:30 – 12:50 Academic Writing (Basic Essay, Advanced Essay (including ACT/SAT Preparation), Research Writing - 80 minute class) – 9th- 12th grades
1:00 – 2:00 Basic Composition (60 minute class) – ages 10-15
2:15 – 3:30 Advanced Composition (75 minute class) – ages 13-19

I have a couple spaces now available in the Basic Class. It is no longer full.  WE STILL HAVE ROOM IN ADVANCED COMP AND ACADEMIC WRITING.

This is for my information only and does not necessarily mean a child cannot attend a certain class. If you need more clarification, please note your concerns in the Any questions? text box.
HOMEWORK WILL BE REQUIRED EVERY WEEK, even on weeks when we do not have class. Please check the box below to show that you understand this requirement.
Does not apply to ACT/SAT Seminars. Your student should plan to spend between 2-4 hours on writing homework each week. It is best to plan some writing time into each day's schedule.

Important Notes for Composition Classes *
Class fees are payable four times throughout the year. Class fees are NON-refundable even if you drop the class. I do not offer refunds under any circumstances. I will work with you on a payment plan if necessary, but I will rely on you to follow through on your agreement to pay since these classes pay my bills.  At least 8 students must enroll to ensure the class will be held. A maximum of 20 students will be accepted.

ACT Essay Preparation - Thursday, April 7 from 11:30 AM – 12:50 PM - $15
SAT Essay Preparation - Thursday April 28 from 11:30 AM – 12:50 PM - $15

Beginning Composition and Advanced Composition - 24 Thursdays from September to April; All classes meet in Lapeer.
September 17, 24, October 1, 8, 15, 29 (not Oct 22), November 5, 12, 19, December 3, 10, 17
January 7, 14, 21 (not Jan 28), February 4, 11, 18 (not Feb 25), March 3, 10, 17 (not March 24 or 31)
April 7, 14, 28 (not April 21)

Basic Composition: $200  (due in 4 equal payments of $50)
Advanced Composition: $240 (due in 4 equal payments of  $60)
Four installment payments will be due on September 17, November 5, January 7, March 3
All students must pay registration fee of $25 by August 15 to cover copies and supplies.

Academic Writing - meets as follows. You may take just one or two of these classes, or sign up for all three.

Basic Essay - $50 (due on September 17)
Meets for 4 weeks: September 17, 24, October 1, 8
Basic Essay students must pay registration fee of $10 by August 15th to cover copy fees and supplies.

Research Writing - $125 (due on October 15 - may divide into two payments; second payment due December 3)
Meets for 12 weeks: Oct 15, 29, Nov 5 12, 19, Dec 3, 10, 17 Jan 7, 14, 21, Feb 4
Research Writing Students must pay registration fee of $10 by September 15th to cover copy fees and supplies.

Advanced Essay- $100 (due on February 11)
Meets for 8 weeks: Feb 11, 18, March 3, 10, 17, Apr 7, 14, 28
Advanced Essay students must pay registration fee of $10 by January 15th to cover copy fees and supplies.
