Ghana Cocoa Board Gets Bids From Banks for $2 Billion Facility

The Ghana Cocoa Board is receiving bids from banks for a $2 billion trade-financing facility for cocoa purchases in the current year and the next crop year, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Yaw Adu-Ampomah said.

The board is seeking $500 million more than it did last year for the purchases, Adu-Ampomah said in a phone interview today from Accra, the capital.
