We are pleased to welcome Alberta’s Health Advocate, Deborah Prowse, Q.C. as part of this webinar.  Prior to introducing the speakers for this session, Deborah will be sharing some of the important work she and her team accomplish in the office of the Health Advocate and the strategic relationship between her office and AHS Quality & Health Care Improvement.

The Good News Initiative (GNI) offers a structured method of collecting positive patient stories that reflect patient and family centred care (good news). The stories are shared directly with staff involved to validate and reinforce their care practices and to promote the growth of patient and family centred culture. At present, the GNI has been piloted on Unit 30/31, Unit 42 and Allied Health of the Foothills Medical Centre.
