Gavin O’Reilly is to step down from his role as head of music management firm the Agency Group after it was bought by the United Talent Agency.

Mr O’Reilly, a former chief executive of Independent News & Media, will leave his role after the deal closes.

According to “The Hollywood Reporter” UTA’s acquisition will make it a heavy hitter in the music space, and will leave it with a roster of about 2,000 clients including Muse, The Black Keys, Paramore, Nickelback and Guns N’ Roses.

Neil Warnock who founded the Agency Group will become head of music for UTA.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
