Blokarting in Cornwall

Forget wind sailing or kiteboarding, it's all about blokarting this summer. The adventurous can try it out in Cornwall.

Travelling at speeds of over 40mph just inches from the ground in a lightweight, wind-powered vehicle, blokarting is an utterly exhilarating way to pass two hours.

There is a steering arm that works similarly to a tiller, while the sheet rope, attached to the sail, adjusts the speed making the experience somewhat akin sailing on land.

To get to grips with the finer points of controlling this tri-wheeled cart, book a session on the fast, flat surfaces of Perrnaporth Airfield with the UK’s top international competitor, blokarting aficionado Kevin Meyers, who has even crossed the Gobi desert via sail-power alone.
