Coaching Mindset Telecourse ($25 discount)

Understanding the "coaching mindset" is essential to understanding what coaching is and what it is not. It is also essential to understanding the difference between coaching and other disciplines. For instance, being clear on the distinction between coaching and psychotherapy is essential to derive the powerful results that a coach approach yields.

This course is offered to coaches to refresh and deepen or introduce the fundamental coaching philosophy as well to managers and leaders who want to better understand coaching as it applies to developing people.

This course can be viewed as a prerequisite to all coach training. Rooted in our fundamental beliefs about people and change, this course gives a historical and philosophical perspective that illuminates the assumptions behind coaching. With this foundation, coaching skills can more easily be integrated into an approach that fully honors people and the potential they are realizing through the coaching relationship. Furthermore, a clear understanding of the distinctions supports the development of best practices for the professional coach. It also gives the coach increased confidence in their coaching skills by knowing the differences between coaching and other disciplines.

Professional coaches and counselors can get six (6) hours of CEU or CE over a four week course that meets once per week. This course has an emphasis on coaching core competencies that is incorporated into the course.
