A woman who had to be tasered by Wildwood police after dragging them through Brownwood Paddock Square with her car is facing a host of charges.
Kyla Sheantaye Washington, 21, of Wildwood had two children in her vehicle when Wildwood police officers attempted to make a traffic stop Saturday night.
Washington had been wanted on a warrant and officers reached into her vehicle to shut off the ignition. Washington then hit the accelerator and pulled away with the officers hanging on.
She crashed her car through a fence and drove onto a sandlot before exiting the vehicle and attempting to flee on foot. That’s when officers turned their taser guns on her.
She is facing charges of aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and child cruelty.
She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center.
