Senior Derry priest 'not confident' in Vatican

A senior priest in the Derry Diocese has said he is not confident that the Vatican will implement the Catholic Church's own child protection measures.
Fr Michael Canny was speaking after an unprecedented attack by Taoiseach Enda Kenny on the Vatican over its handling of clerical sex abuse.
Fr Canny said it seemed the Vatican was unable to change.
He said priests shared the anger of lay Catholics over the church's handling of abuse.
